iPhone 4


I note that the iPhone 4 (which I don't have yet) uses a different accelerometer and a different processor. Will that enable sampling rates in excess of 100 Hz?

The max sample rate is set by Apple in the SDK for the accelerometer. In iOS3 you used to be able to exceed this number but it was not reliable, in iOS 4 they put a hard cap at 100Hz. If you set a higher value you still get 100Hz.
